Welcome to Instant Reprint, a service through which Quad-Cities Online and
the Moline Dispatch Publishing Co., L.L.C., enable users and readers to purchase
reprints of a wide selection of the work of our staff photographers.
The Instant Reprint database contains most photos that were 1) shot
by our staff and 2) appeared in The Dispatch, The Rock Island Argus, the
Leader or on our website edition. Exceptions are photos taken at
professional concerts and other events at which we obtain print-only rights.
Neither are there news service photos, photos submitted by our readers nor
most police, fire and ambulance events.
The database additionally contains many photographs published only
online, particularly those taken at high school sporting events, recognition
ceremonies and other events that have over the years generated a steady stream
of requests for copies of ``the photo I know you took but didn't use in the
paper.'' Instant Reprint allows us to efficiently satisfy those requests,
most of which previously have been logistically impossible to fulfill.
All photos in this archive are copyrighted by the Moline Dispatch
Publishing Co., L.L.C., and all rights are reserved. Purchasers may make a
copy or copies for personal use only. No commercial use is permissible.
Purchasers may not otherwise reproduce, copy, reuse, or redistribute any
photo in any way without the express written consent of the Moline Dispatch
Publishing Co., L.L.C. Inquiries regarding commercial use of any Dispatch/Argus photos should be
directed to Todd Mizener: email;
telephone (309) 757-4993."
Traditional prints generally will be mailed for delivery within 7-10
days. Digital copies paid for by credit card will be delivered
immediately as an attachment to an email.
Digital copies are in high-quality .jpg format, and are quite large,
often as much as 1.5 megabytes. Downloading large images may take up to a few minutes depending on internet connection speed.
Effectively printing digital photos from a home
computer may require a photo manipulation program such as Photoshop, or
those that come with most digital cameras. The copyright watermark on the
samples in the database are removed from the emailed version.
The database is searchable by keyword, by photographer, by photoname
and by date the photo was entered into the database. In most cases that is
the day the photo was taken.
